Spring is in the air and Summer is on the way!

While there is still snow at nearby Falls Creek, the blooming of the daffodils, tulips and especially rhododendrons in Bogong Village herald the arrival of spring and, not so far away, the long warm days and cool mountain evenings of summer.

People are turning their minds towards the warmer months ahead. There is so much to do in the high country during spring and summer. YOU can escape to one of High Country’s most breathtaking areas yet still feel completely at home with a stay at Bogong Village.

There is plenty to amuse you, whether you wish to relax in and around your cottage or take a short drive to nearby tourist destinations.

There is golf, fishing, wineries to visit, an endless choice of walks on the high plains, historic huts, canoeing, swimming and tennis in the village. Or simply relax in our beautiful European gardens and enjoy a light lunch, a glass of wine or an afternoon latté at the Alpine Village Belle Café. For the coming months we have a special package on offer for guests – Rest and Relaxation package.

While surrounded by the Alpine National Park with its towering Australian eucalyptus trees, ferns and mountain stream, the village has a seasonal European garden setting. It bursts into life in spring with the flowering of the rhododendrons, camellias, azaleas and dogwoods, takes on a cool and leafy green appearance in summer, and then transforms into a spectacular blaze of color in autumn before settling into “rest mode” for winter. Another exciting feature of Bogong Alpine Village at the moment is the progress of the Bogong Power Development Project.
